Though Zoloft®, Sertraline HCL, (and similar antidepressants known as SSRI’s) was designed to help those suffering from depression, it has been discovered that Zoloft increases the risk of heart damage and increases the risk of birth defects in women taking Zoloft® during pregnancy.
